Smoky Hill Partners with Counslr
We are very excited to announce that Smoky Hill Education Service Center has just formally partnered with cutting-edge mental health support platform, Counslr. Counslr's app-based service provides students at partnered schools with access to an unlimited number of live texting sessions with licensed mental health professionals, available 24/7/365, on-demand (within 2 minutes) or by scheduled appointment.
Counslr is designed to complement pre-existing resources and is specifically focused on better reaching the traditionally unreachable members of school communities, those who need help but don't seek it for a variety of reasons (typically related to cost, inconvenience, and/or stigma). Accordingly, 83% of students who use Counslr had never previously engaged with a school counselor, allowing Counslr to help extend the reach of school-sponsored resources to serve previously unserved populations.
As a result of our partnership with Counslr, all Smoky Hill members will benefit from specially discounted pricing. All other Kansas districts will receive the affordable national price.
